UMS and THOSE WHO INSPIRE: Collaboration for the Development of Guinean Youth
In partnership with the international THOSE WHO INSPIRE network, we helped launch their first event in Guinea. The event, which had been awaited for almost a year, took place on Wednesday May 31 in Conakry, marking the start of a promising collaboration for the future of Guinean youth.
Convinced of the importance of role models for younger generations, THOSE WHO INSPIRE is a network and platform whose aim is to highlight inspiring life stories, sharing them with all its members. The mission of this international network is to encourage young people to pursue their dreams in order to foster their personal fulfillment, support them in their professional careers and reveal their potential.
THOSE WHO INSPIRE’s approach is in line with UMS’s actions to promote the skills of young Guineans and the development of local talent. That’s why we’ve chosen to support the establishment of the network in Guinea.
“We are proud to collaborate with THOSE WHO INSPIRE with the aim of creating socio-economic opportunities for Guinean youth. By investing in training and mentoring, we are helping to shape the new generation of leaders and change-makers that Guinea needs,” says Mohamed Bennani, Managing Director of UMS Group.
At the event, Hadja Aicha Kallo, who works for UMS as a welder, received a special award in recognition of her remarkable career. His biography is featured in the 2023 edition of THOSE WHO INSPIRE, which identifies inspiring and committed personalities every year.
“Thanks to THOSE WHO INSPIRE and UMS, young people in Guinea can benefit from valuable advice on choosing their own path. I’m honored to be part of this community that highlights inspiring career paths. It shows that each and every one of us can make a positive contribution to the socio-economic development of our country,” adds Hadja Aicha Kallo, UMS collaborator and THOSE WHO INSPIRE Guinea winner.
