The Alliance Mining Commodities (AMC) construction project was officially launched by the Prime Minister, Dr Bernard Goumou, on February 15, 2023, in the Kaboyé district of Boké. The project, managed by AMC, includes the construction of a 120 km mining road linking Katougouma to Koumbia and covering an area of 728 km2. Local authorities emphasized the positive impact on local infrastructure and the opening up of the regions crossed. The importance of protecting AMC facilities and maintaining good relations with local communities was noted. The project is expected to create over 2,000 direct jobs and benefit the local population through the construction of several infrastructures, notably in the health and education sectors. The Minister of Mines stressed the strategic importance of the project, backed by a billion-dollar investment, and announced plans to rehabilitate schools in the region. The ceremony concluded with the laying of the foundation stone for the AMC construction project.
